„Frequence studie“ as city marketing instruments for the measuring of passing people at each counting post do not mark what is happening but point out occurrence, quantity and rate of walk-throughs. Are the pedestrians already buying or are they still dreaming? And do they not unintentionally create intensities – in an interaction a type of rhythmised public movement.
Pedestrians create electronic impulses on a contact carpet on the sidewalk, which let the strings of a monochord* vibrate as triggered audiofiles and therefore translate a public frequency into notes.
* an intstrument which is mainly used in physics/movement studies
